How Cheerdrop works

Launching a coin

Anyone can launch a coin for any Twitch channel. Launching creates a normal Pump.fun coin (create_v2) whose creator is a wallet Cheerdrop derives just for that streamer and that mint — a wallet only that streamer's payouts can ever use, and that nobody, including us, holds a private key to ahead of time. The launcher's own wallet signs the launch transaction and pays for it: a 0.005 SOL platform fee plus a 0.001 SOL prefund so the new fee wallet can receive its first payment.

What happens to the fees

Every trade on the coin pays a creator fee into that wallet. Cheerdrop collects the fees every 10 minutes. Of what is collected, we keep 10% in SOL to run the service, and the remaining 90% is swapped to USDC and held for the streamer. Starting in Phase 2, a bot pays that balance out as Twitch Bits, cheered directly in the streamer's own chat with the message Creator fees from $TICKER via Cheerdrop, naming the coin that earned it.

Who can be paid

Only Twitch Affiliates and Partners can be paid, because only their channels can receive Bits. Eligibility is checked against the Twitch API at launch, and again daily, so a channel that loses its status stops being payable until it regains it.

Zero effort for the streamer

The streamer never signs up, logs in, or claims anything. They do not need to know Cheerdrop exists for a coin in their name to start earning them Bits — the first they see of it is the cheer landing in their chat.

Delisting

Any streamer can ask to be delisted at support@cheerdrop.fun. Once delisted, no further coins can be launched for that channel, and any balance already held for them is paid out as one final cheer.

Cheerdrop is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Twitch, Pump.fun or Solana. Being named by a coin does not make a streamer a customer of Cheerdrop or an endorser of it.
